1. An Eye Washing Station

For one thing, as you probably already know, there is always the potential that someone could get a chemical or something else harmful in their eyes while working with your aircraft. Because of this, you might require your employees to wear the right eye safety glasses to keep themselves safe. Even though this can help, there is still always the possibility that something could happen. If something does get into an employee's eyes, then it will be very helpful if there is an eye washing station nearby. In fact, this could be enough to save your employee's eyesight and to prevent serious discomfort and pain. Therefore, if you do not already have an eye washing station in place in your aircraft hangar, now is the time to install one. Along with putting in an eye washing station, it's a good idea to talk to your employees about when and how to use this station and to put up printed directions that an employee can follow in the event of an emergency.

2. A First Aid Kit

If you do not currently have a first aid kit put in place in your aviation hangar, then you are putting your employees at risk. Putting together multiple first aid kits and putting them in easy-to-reach places throughout your aviation hangar can help you ensure that your employees can get the materials that they need if they are hurt.

3. A Hazardous Waste Disposal Area

Your employees will probably end up working with various chemicals, oils and more while working in your aviation hangar. If these things are not disposed of properly, then someone's health could be put at risk. Plus, there is also the ecological impact that can go along with these chemicals. Therefore, setting up a hazardous waste station and instructing your employees to use this hazardous waste station is important. Then, you will need to make sure that you look for a good way to get rid of the hazardous waste, such as by working with a hazardous waste disposal company. Then, you can ensure that you are handling hazardous waste safely and that you are following any regulations and laws that are in place in your area.
